Here at Must Love Pawz, we recognize that the needs of our seniors can be very different than those of our younger cats and dogs. Because of this, our procedures for boarding senior pets are a bit different. Who we consider a senior is based on the pet’s size. Small dogs and cats are considered a senior at age 12, medium to large breed dogs are considered a senior at age 10, and x-large dogs are considered a senior at age 8.

Before a senior can board, the pet parent must complete a digital questionnaire consisting of medical questions and emergency procedures. Boarding a senior is a big deal, and oftentimes subtle symptoms can become more pronounced when they are away from home. Any symptoms will be displayed on your pet’s accommodation for our staff’s reference during his/her stay.

Our Golden Years Package is an optional add-on for senior pups. The package can be added on to both daycare and boarding reservations. When you choose to add on this package, your senior dog will enjoy a specialized boarding experience that caters to their specific needs. Must Love Pawz reserves the right to require the Golden Years Package for dogs whose needs go beyond the scope of our standard boarding services.
